The Parent to Parent Care Coordination Notebook is a tool for parents of children with disabilities in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Parent to Parent is a program that creates a support network for parents of children with disabilities. This program trains veteran parents of children with disabilities and matches them as mentors to parents in need. Mentees are parents that have children with disabilities and are just learning of their diagnosis, are moving to a new community, are transitioning from one system to the next, or who just need help figuring out next steps. This publication was created to help parents to finance and manage their child’s health care. The client, Center for Family Involvement at VCU, wanted to create a fun design that connected with children and their parents and was easy to navigate.
For this design, I collaborated with my business partner at Medulla, Jessica Fleenor. This design was created in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator) and consists of 108 pages. It is available in print and digital formats.
