This magazine highlights the poetry and artwork of students at John G. Wood School (JGW) at the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls (VHBG). VHBG is a nonprofit organization that helps children across Virginia with emotional and behavioral health concerns. Children receive care in group homes and a therapeutic resource center. While at VHBG, children attend JGW, a specialized K-12 school.
The artwork and copy in this publication were created by students at JGW. I collaborated with their instructor, Lisa Scott, to create this layout. The 5×5-inch magazine consists of 36 pages and was designed for print. This design was created in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop).
