In January 2018, the American Women’s Club of Düsseldorf voted to change their name to the American International Women’s Club of Düsseldorf. The reason for this change was to make the club more inclusive. Members are not required to be Americans; they only need to speak English. Because of this, their logo needed to be changed.
The client requested that I use their existing logo as inspiration, but modernize the overall look of the design. To achieve this, I redesigned the tagline with a sans serif font and introduced a new accent color.
The American International Women’s Club of Düsseldorf (AIWCD) is a non-profit organization comprised of English-speaking expats in the greater Düsseldorf area. In addition to hosting many activities for its members and helping them to assimilate in a new country, the AIWCD raises funds for various charities.
